| The parish was incorporated in 1895 and was first housed in this structure on the corner of Highland Avenue and Mellen Street, which had been cobbled together in 1900 from structures already on the site – a paint shop, a poolroom and a blacksmith's shop. The parish moved to its new building near Rosemary Street in 1912. |
